Danny Dyer is an English actor and presenter, born of humble beginnings in London's East End.
In 2016, Danny's family history was the subject of a BBC TV genealogy series Who Do You Think You Are, where it was revealed that ancestry goes back through the Gosnold family, through the Tollemache's and the Cromwell's, back to King Edward III. From there the line in traceable to William the Conqueror (himself descended from Rollo the Viking) and Charlemagne, Kings of the Franks from 768 and Emperor of Rome in 800.
Danny is my 7th cousin - our mutual 6 x great-grandfather being Charles Gosnold (1731–1788 ).
